Vergara And Loeb In Heated Battle Over Frozen Eggs
In what is definitely one of the strangest celeb stories of the year so far, we are hearing about Nick Loeb of the Loeb and Lehman families suing his ex-fiancée and Modern Family star Sofia Vergara over frozen embryos.
The story began when the couple was still together and they froze a pair of female embryos in hopes of conceiving through a surrogate and starting a family. The couple split up not long after and the frozen embryos became disputed “property” or “assets” if you wish.
The most recent news speaks of an anonymous filing in Californian court in which John Doe (Nick):
Seeks to ensure that the Female Embryos are not destroyed, but Jane Doe [Sofia] refuses to agree to their preservation under all circumstances.
The lawsuit also states that Vergara was, according to Loeb:
on many occasions, physically, emotionally and mentally abusive to John.
Also:
[she] punched him in the face on two occasions, kicked him, and threw her phone at his head.
Fred Silberberg, attorney to Vergara was not available for comments and neither was her rep. Loeb also didn’t comment on the reports.
