8. Pauly Shore
While we’re on the subject of comedic actors who were once big but are nowhere to be found, we simply have to say a thing or two about Pauly Shore. Pauly has always been the butt of jokes, even when he was at the peak of his popularity (early to mid-1990s). It has always been popular to rip on Pauly and his movies. Sure, they may not be Godfather or Apocalypse Now, but they were fun movies that never pretended to be anything more.
And for a while it worked for Pauly, even while being lambasted on every turn. His movies made the dough and he was always around. However, he did not stick around. Perhaps the (objective) quality of his movies caught up with him, or maybe it was something else. In any way, Pauly is nowhere to be found these days and even though most people will tell you that is a good thing, you need to ask yourself.
