14. Mel Gibson
There can be no doubt that Mel Gibson has had quite a career. His first hit, back in Australia, the original Mad Max came out in 1979, which was a long, long time ago. He broke through with the Lethal Weapon movies and he kept it going. He then started directing and it turned out that he was even a better director than he was actor.
Everything was going Mel’s way and he seemed to have a secured spot as one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
And then it turned out that he is a total nutcase. We learned that he was a drinker, that he was an anti-Semite and that he had troubles controlling his action and his opinions. All of this resulted in a very swift and public fall from grace that he still hasn’t recovered from.
We are not quite sure that he will be able to, either.
