Tom Hanks is widely known as one of the nicest people in Hollywood, often called THE nicest of all celebrities. It is almost impossible to choose just a few stories out of so many that testify to the fact that Tom is just unbelievably nice.
For example, he once met one of his most fervent fans, an autistic woman named Sarah Moretti who had a giant scrapbook dedicated to him. He spent hours going through it, thanking Sarah throughout. There is also that one time when he posed for photos with a random fan at a diner.
He once also befriended a taxi driver, telling his friends and acquaintances about him and always saying hello to him through them. And this is just scratching the surface of what a nice guy Tom is.
