After it was reported that the Hunger Games and the Vampire Diaries production was shut down due to a storm in Georgia, work on the new Avengers movie came across similar issues.
Namely, the upcoming new Avengers movie production was shut down due to floods in Surrey, UK, where the studio is located.
Stars of The Avengers, Robert Downey, Jr. and Chris Hemsworth, along with the other members, were due to attend the studio for costume fitting tests this week, but they were forced to cancel the appointment after fears of a studio flood. According to Britain’s The Sun, the whole area’s flooded.
The filming of The Avengers: Age of Ultron began in South Africa ahead of a planned shoot in England later this year. However, the town of Shepperton was destroyed by the floods which caused problems in huge areas of the UK.
Last week, several streets in Johannesburg were closed for the filming of the sequel to the superhero movie.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled to hit cinemas on May 1, 2015.
