The 24-year-old country-gone-pop singer Taylor Swift has revealed the theme of her new album 1989. She is done writing and singing about heartbreaks and ex-boyfriends. Instead, Swift wants to focus on the idea of recovering from nasty break-ups.
“[Red] was a devastating record. It was about dealing with an intense heartbreak,” she told Fusion.
1989 is about “the phase after that where you brush yourself off and you’re okay… [Writing Red] I was very enamored by romance and the idea of that.”
Swift became internationally famous because she wrote about her past loves, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, who inspired “I Knew You Were Trouble” and Jake Gyllenhaal whose decision to leave her motivated the talented singer to write “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
Taylor recently released the new video for her latest song ‘’Shake it Off,’’ and Odd Future rapper Earl Sweatshirt took to Twitter to say that the video is ‘’inherently offensive and ultimately harmful.’’
