It may not have been a random act of misfortune when Sandra Bullock’s home was broken into early Sunday morning, June 8.
The 39-year old intruder, now identified as Joshua Corbett, may have been obsessed with the Oscar-winning Hollywood actress, law enforcement sources told Today.
Corbett, who was arrested on suspicion of a burglary after sifting through her personal belongings, might have even kept a diary devoted completely to Sandra.
The break-in came only hours after Bullock, whose security is considered among the best in Hollywood, celebrated her win at Saturday’s Spike TV Guys’ Choice Awards. Officers responded to the call around 6:30 a.m.
At the time of the encounter, the actress was inside her home with 4-year old son Louis.
“She is unharmed and is fine,” her representative told People at the time.
During her acceptance speech, she mentioned her tendency to be somewhat of a homebody.
“Decade of Hotness…My question was what decade? I have several under my belt. It should really be Decade of Hot Mess,” she said. “That I can own and I do that well and I’m still convinced I’m up here because someone dropped out and they needed someone quickly and we know I’m home on Saturdays.”
The 39-year old actress is best known for her roles in Speed, Gravity, and The Blind Side, for which she smoothly landed an Academy Award.
