Things have really been going well for Benedict Cumberbatch lately. First, he had an amazing break with his outstanding interpretation of Sherlock Holmes in the BBC series, then he landed a role which may be a turning point in his career, that of Alan Turing in The Imitation Game. Then he got engaged, and now he’s expecting a baby.
The press got its first look of Sophie Hunter’s baby bump last Saturday at the Palm Springs Film Festival, where Cumberbatch’s movie, The Imitation Game, won the award for best ensemble cast. The actor is also up for the Golden Globe award for best actor in a leading role this weekend.
Hunter was obviously eager to disguise her belly with a large Just Cavalli dress and a purse she kept holding in front of it, but the baby bump was still quite noticeable. The insider sources say the pregnancy is already a few months along and the couple is very excited about their first child.
