Blake Shelton, the country star, based his new music video on real life unfortunate attempts to be romantic. He nearly burned down his own house in attempts to pull off romantic gestures for his wife Miranda Lambert.
Doin’ What She Likes, his new promo, features him lighting candles all over his house and scattering rose petals on the floor, but everything goes wrong when one flame sparks a fire.
He admits he didn’t take much time to think about the video’s plot.
He said, “There’s some truth to that video, because I have actually set our property on fire two different times trying to do like, a good thing, and turns out to be several hundred acres (burning down)… One time it took three days to put the fire out...”

The two, who tied the knot in 2011, didn’t share much detail about the fire, but they insist they never got in trouble with Tishomingo, Oklahoma local police.
He also said, “It’s my land, they don’t care.”
The video and the song are already very popular and braking chart records across America by scoring his 11th number one on the Billboard Country Airplay countdown.
The lead-off single from his self-titled debut album, “Austin” spent five weeks at Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
The gold-certified debut album also produced two more Top 20 hits for him. Although the album was released on Giant Records Nashville, he was transferred to Warner Bros. Records Nashville after Giant closed in late 2001.
