23-year-old pop sensation Selena Gomez has been out of the spotlight for quite a while. But she is finally making her return to music this week, with the release of her second album, entitled “Revival.” The album title is symbolic of everything she went through in order to get back to the top. She talked to Billboard magazine recently about some of the hardships she faced along the way.
While most tabloids were reporting that Gomez was in rehab for some type of substance abuse problem, she was actually undergoing chemotherapy to save her like.
Gomez confirmed that she had been diagnosed with Lupus, which is a potentially crippling autoimmune disease that attacks the body’s tissues and cells instead of protecting them.
Gomez said that she was incredibly upset at the media when reading all of the rumors that were circling about her, and had a very hard time not saying something about it at the time.
But all of that is behind her and Gomez is ready to get back to business. “Revival” comes out tomorrow.
