Scientologists Deny Connection With Cathriona White’s Death
In case you missed it, ex-girlfriend of Jim Carrey, Cathriona White committed suicide a few days ago. The reason why this made celeb news is that she mentioned her ex-boyfriend by name in her suicide note. According to that same note, she was not feeling well and she found no other way out but resort to the most drastic of measures.
The news soon broke out that Cathriona was a member of the Church of Scientology and that she was part of a program called “Purification Rundown”, which definitely sounds ominous, to say that least. Of course, this has spurred plenty of theories that Scientology had something to do with her suicide.
As you might have guessed, the church has commented on this, denying that they had anything to do with the suicide. Their spokeswoman pointed out that the Bible is never blamed when someone of the Christian faith takes their own life. She does have a point there. My God, we’re agreeing with Scientologists now. What has this world come to?
