Hollywood beauty Sandra Bullock and pop superstar Justin Timberlake were the biggest winners of 2014’s People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. Both celebrities rocked all categories they were nominated in, and took home an impressive amount of awards.
Actress Sandra Bullock won the title for Favorite Movie Actress, Favorite Comedic and also was handed the trophy for Dramatic Movie Actress, getting the first three prizes of Wednesday’s ceremony.
And that’s not all. She was handed the Favorite Movie Duo award for her work with George Clooney in the space disaster movie Gravity, which also won the title Favorite Dramatic Movie.
The Favorite Male Artist and R&B Artist awards went to Timberlake, while his “The 20/20 Experience” album won in the category of Favorite Album.
Third actor who achieved notable success in the Los Angeles ceremony was Robert Downey Jr who became the Favorite Action Movie Star, while his Marvel-blockbuster Iron Man 3 claimed the Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie awards.
Jennifer Hudson couldn’t fight back her tears after she was handed the Favorite Humanitarian award for her work with the Julian D King Gift Foundation, which she established after the murder of her 7-year old nephew in 2008. Addressing her tragic family experience, she told the audience, “We wanna dedicate this to our mother, who taught us… that without family, you have nothing, and our brother, who was the most giving.”
This year fans were able to vote in 58 categories, among them movies, television and music. The People’s Choice Awards was hosted by Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs last night, 7 January.
