For his nude scene in the new Biblical epic ‘Noah’, actor Russell Crowe kept constantly finding small stones and sand in the nooks and crannies of his body.
The ‘Gladiator’ star in Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’ portrays a religious hero and one scene requires laying out on a pebble-covered beach where he needed to be completely naked.
But since the filming of the scene took hours, it left Russell with many unwanted souvenirs in the most awkward places.
The actor said, “That was pretty much all day lying around naked and they have these little stones, right, it’s kind of as the lava meets the sea and they get smoothed off and what have you… these stones get really round.”
“It was like four days (after shooting the scene), you’re still getting dressed in the morning and these little stones are falling out and it’s like, ‘Where has that been for four days?‘”
This movie brought the star many benefits.

For the purpose of the movie’s Italian premiere, Crowe was staying in Rome and after several attempts, Russell and director Darren got the opportunity to meet catholic leader, Pope Francis.
Crowe, along with director Darren Aronofsky, producer Scott Franklin and studio vice chairman Rob Moore were in attendance to hear the pontiff’s weekly address at the Vatican.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, local observers say they met Francis, although details of their personal meeting are still unclear.
