Robert Downey Jr. appeared on the UK’s Channel 4 News to promote his new movie, when the interviewer Krishnan Guru-Murthy started asking him very uncomfortable questions. Downey was obviously disturbed by the line of questioning and in the end left the interview.
The whole thing started when Krishnan asked Downey about an interview he gave to the New York Times after going to prison about his political beliefs. She said:
You can’t go from a $2,000-a-night suite at La Mirage to a penitentiary and really understand it and come out a liberal.
Downy certainly has experience with uncomfortable lines of questioning so he tried to stay polite and said:
I couldn’t even really tell you what a liberal is, so therein lies the answer to your question. Are we promoting a movie?
But in the end the questions became so agonizing that he walked out of the interview.
