Actress Nicole Kidman has called off a U.K. TV appearance after falling ill with bronchitis.
The Australian star was all set to fly to Britain from her mansion in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, May 26 to film an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. The show was scheduled to air in the U.K. on Friday, May 30.
However, the show’s producers have managed to catch Kidman’s ex-husband Tom Cruise to replace her after she was hit with a bout of respiratory illness. She was warned not to fly so she could have the time to recover, as she has filming commitments in June.
Kidman’s publicist told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, “She has bronchitis and the doctor won’t let her fly yet. She has to stay put in Nashville because she has to be working on set in Italy on June 5.”
More on Kidman news, even though she is one of the most successful actresses alive, she thinks her calling is not what she would desire for her children.
Only a few days ago, the star stated, “I think, as a parent, the last thing you want is your child to be an actor, because it’s a really tough existence.”
“We’re always waiting for somebody to choose us and say, ‘I believe in you,’ and there are only certain people that can handle that.”
“A lot of the attacks are personal attacks, a lot of the rejections are personal rejections. If my children wanted to be actors I would support them but I’d also want to protect them.”
