Australian model Nicole Trunfio has appeared on the subscriber-only cover of Elle Australia’s June issue breastfeeding her four-month-old son.
When I saw the cover of me breastfeeding, which was unplanned and just natural, I teared up and thought, ‘Wow this is such a special moment where my worlds have collided’. There’s the maternal side of me, who so loves being a mum, and the professional side, who’s so passionate about her career.
An inside spread features a 12-page shoot in which a nude baby Zion appears alongside his mother wearing designers including Chanel, Prada and Miu Miu.
Julstine Cullen, the editor of the magazine, wrote:
This wasn’t a contrived situation: Zion needed a feed, Nicole gave it to him, and when we saw how beautiful they looked we simply moved her onto the set. It was completely natural moment that resulted in a powerful picture.
