Mama June Shannon Was Prosecuted For Failing To Pay Child Support

The world of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which is now (fortunately) canceled, keeps getting more and more disturbing.
The latest thing that emerged from the family’s sordid past is that the matriarch, Mama June Shannon, was supposed to pay child support for hear molested daughter, but failed to do so, which is why she was charged with criminal contempt.
Her daughter Anna, also known as Chickadee, was molested by Shannon’s lover, Mark McDaniel, and placed under custody of Shannon’s mother Sandra Hale. All Mama June had to do was pay $100 a month. After she neglected her duty for years, her debt rose to $4,144 and she was finally charged with criminal contempt.
She must have paid, because the charges were dropped three months later. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was canceled after it became known that Mama June was again seeing Mark McDaniel, who served his ten-year sentence for child molestation.
