Liza Minnelli Recovering After Back Surgery

The 68-year-old legend Liza Minnelli is recuperating in a hospital located in California after a back surgery she underwent earlier this week.
According to the New York Post, Minnelli first sustained her injury after trying to pick up one of her dogs and she seriously damaged her back.
‘’I was picking up my dogs – and they jumped. And I got twisted and fell. I thought it’s nothing. But it wasn’t nothing. It became something. The operation’s next week.”
‘’I broke my lower back. Remember a few years ago I was in a wheelchair because I had trouble with my spine? They operated on it then. Well, now, again. They’ll have to fuse it.”
The injury recently prevented her from coming to Joan Rivers’ funeral service, so Minnelli issued a statement expressing regret that she was unable to attend.
She is now recovering from surgery and thanking her fans for their support.
”I am overwhelmed with the amount of love and caring that has been sent my way from all over the world.”
