Redondo Beach Police have confirmed that WWE Superstar Chyna, whose real name was Joanie Laurer, was found dead in her apartment. The former wrestler was only 46 years old.
Police are still investigating the case, but according to initial reports, there are no signs of foul play involved in her death. Police are still trying to figure our whether the death was of natural causes or if it was an accident.
The entire wrestling community is mourning the loss of Chyna, who many believe was one of the most important figures in the history of the sport and certainly the most important female wrestler in the history of the WWE.
Chyna made history in the late 1990s and early 200s, becoming the WWE Intercontinental Champ twice and the WWE Women’s Champ once over the course of three years.
Wrestling fans and fellow WWE wrestlers flooded social media to express their sadness over the loss of one of the WWE‘s greatest and most influential wrestlers of all time.
