Pop star Kesha is going to be asking the court to dismiss the sexual assault lawsuit that she filed against her former producer Dr. Luke.
According to Kesha’s people, the celebrity songstress wants to focus on what’s most important to her, which is getting back to putting out new music.
The singer has not put out any new music in four years. She has been battling Dr. Luke and her label Sony Music to get out of her record contract. In the meantime, she hasn’t been able to release anything new because she is still bound by contract to them.
Kesha’s people say that she has 28 new songs ready and can’t wait to get them to the public.
Dr. Luke’s legal team responded to the news that Kesha wanted to throw out the sexual assault charges, stating that this is a clear sign that shows that Dr.Luke was completely innocent and that Kesha fabricated the stories of sexual assault in an effort to get out of her legally binding recording contract with the producer and label.
Kesha’s legal team says that they are going to continue to work to get her out of her contract so that she can start releasing new music again.
