Model and actress Kate Upton decided to announce her engagement to her boyfriend and baseball star at last night’s Met Gala. The Vogue cover girl flashed her diamond ring on the red carpet yesterday, confirming celebrity gossip that the two are definitely planning on getting married in the near future.
The 23-year-old supermodel told E! News that her 33-year-old husband-to-be popped the question before the beginning of the baseball season, adding that she’s super excited to finally share the good news with her fans.
Upton and Verlander, who’s a starting pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, have been dating for three years, so this announcement doesn’t come as a surprise to the people close to them. However, according to Kate, they are still ‘enjoying the engagement period’ and don’t know when they’ll tie the knot.
