Actress Kate Mara has now joined the vegan club after giving up her love for cheese.
The star, mostly known for her roles in The House of Cards and Shooter, admitted her family and friends weren’t surprised by her healthy habits, but they are surprised by her decision to stop eating cheese.
The star said, “I’m a vegan, but that doesn’t mean I get up and leave if I’m out to dinner with someone who orders steak.”
“Their biggest surprise is that I don’t eat cheese anymore, and I don’t blame them because cheese was definitely the hardest thing to give up.”
Mara appeared in Ironclad in 2011, which tells the story of the siege of Rochester Castle by King John in the year 1215. It was her first film where she spoke in an English accent.
She also appeared in the short film titled Ten Year, which was produced by Channing Tatum to attract financing for a feature film.
The full-length feature went into production in Albuquerque in2010, with Mara starring in a large ensemble cast film about a 10-year high school reunion.
In 2012, Mara starred in Stefan Ruzowitzky’s thriller Deadfall alongside Eric Bana and Olivia Wilde.
In 2013 she starred in video for the song Holding On For Life by Broken Bells. She also appeared in Transcendence in 201, starring famous Johnny Depp and directed by Wally Pfister.
In February 2014, Kate landed the role of Invisible Woman in a new version of the Fantastic Four.
