At the recent Farm Sanctuary Gala in New York City, comedian and former-television show host Jon Stewart said that he isn’t used to dealing with people who possess empathy, since he’s covered Washington and politics for so long.
The former “The Daily Show” host might be done with comedy and television for a while, but he is still doing a lot of good.
Jon and his wife Tracey announced at the gala that their Bufflehead Farm will be the Farm Sanctuary New Jersey branch. This 12-acre farm in New Jersey is going to be hosting factory farm animals that have been rescued from horrifying conditions. That includes sheep, cows, pigs, turkeys and more.
Tracey said that the farm would not only be a rescue, but also an education center to help educate people who are interested in the cause and want to know what they can do to help.
