Here’s Why Blake Shelton Left Miranda Lambert
Though everyone seems to be surprised by the news that country music stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have decided to part ways, the couple was apparently on the road to Splitsville for quite some time.
According to TMZ, Blake had discovered that his wife was cheating on him and, unable to deal with her betrayal, filed for divorce. As a matter of fact, the gossip website claims that Miranda was first having an extramarital relationship with country singer Chris Young and then with another man, unknown to the public.
Despite the fact that Shelton needed some time to decide what to do, he apparently made the decision to split with Miranda on his own – even his own mother was completely oblivious to their problems. When Radar asked Beverly Lambert about her opinion, the poor woman told them she had no idea what they were talking about, adding that the two didn’t tell her they were calling it quits.
Here’s Shelton and Lambert’s statement:
“This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
