Veterans of heavy metal, Mötley Crüe, announced their retirement today. After the final tour with Alice Cooper, Mötley Crüe is calling it quits. Today’s sudden and unexpected news will certainly shock their fans all over the world.
Today at a press conference in Hollywood, the metal legends announced they’re ending their 33-year long career.
Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee founded the band in 1981 and since then, they’ve been to prison together, done enough drugs to make Keith Richards seem like an angel, and made quite a number of sex scandals. Pamela Anderson probably remembers the best.
In 1985, they said in an interview, “You’ve known the band since the beginning. We’ve always been seriously fucked up. We were always rowdy-we can’t lie to you. We’re not faking, we’re just us. We drink and fuck and do drugs. Doesn’t everybody? The only difference now is we can afford better drugs!”
Since 1981 they’ve sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, becoming one of the most successful heavy metal groups in music history.
Additionally they’ve released nine albums, from which the last one was Saints of Los Angeles in 2008.
