Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow has made her first appearance in public after the news of her and Chris Martin’s split.
She made an appearance in Hong Kong on Wednesday, April 23, to promote her cookbook and lifestyle website.
She surprised everyone in Hollywood when she announced she was “consciously uncoupling” from the Coldplay frontman. She took to her Goop.com website to thank her fans for supporting her.
Surprisingly, on Wednesday she was promoting her lifestyle website, despite rumors that the project is in serious debt.
While speaking at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel, she also used the opportunity to dismiss rumors Goop.com was in reported debts. It was stated earlier in March that her project is $1.2 million (£750,000) in debt. In front of reporters and fans, she explained, “Those numbers are based on filings from a couple of years ago, so you shouldn’t believe everything you read. We’re on the verge of a lot of changes at the website right now and we have some really exciting announcements coming up.”
She continued, “I really love my office job. I started Goop because I had a lot of creativity and I wasn’t doing as many films.”
She also said that her movie star lifestyle was rather ‘quiet and domestic’.
The star, mother of nine-year old Apple and Moses, eight-year old, explained she started the website for a creative outlet.
At the event, she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.
