Gooding Jr. Faces Marriage Split

Actor Cuba Gooding Jr.’s wife, Sara Kapfer, filed for legal separation.
On Tuesday, April 22, Sara submitted the papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
The documents, obtained by TMZ.com, state Sara is requesting joint physical and legal custody of their three children. They have two sons named Spencer and Mason, and a daughter named Piper. All under the age of 18.
Child support will be determined at a later date.
The two were high school sweethearts. They married in 1994, three years prior to his Oscar nomination, which he won. He was awarded for his portrayal of Rod Tidwell in Jerry Maguire.
This may come as a surprise to Cuba, since he gushed about their love and how wonderful of a wife he has in a 2013 interview on The View. The two have always seemed to get along just fine, so we are not sure whether we should believe the things he said in 2013.
“She has been changing to this other woman that I have to introduce myself to every few years,” Cuba explained. “And thank god I’ve fallen in love with each one. It’s true. I’m lucky that way.”
He, however, added, “I want to kill her sometimes.” It looks like the bad eventually overpowered the good in Cuba and Sara’s relationship, but no one can say they didn’t try their best to make their marriage work.
