Hollywood’s most famous newly-wed George Clooney has stunned numerous fans at a New York comic book convention by making a surprise appearance in order to promote his upcoming movie Tomorrowland.
The 53-year-old actor made jokes at a panel event on Thursday and thrilled the crowd.
“It’s not lost on me that I’m spending my honeymoon at Comic-Con.”
He also added that his beautiful wife, human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, was rather confused about what a Comic-Con was.
Humorous as ever, the actor also referred to his role in the 1997 Batman.
“Since my Batman, I think I was disinvited to Comic Con for 20 years. I met [original TV Batman] Adam West back there, and I said, ‘Hey, I’m really sorry.'”
Clooney was joined on the panel by Tomorrowland co-writer Damon Lindelof, British actor Hugh Laurie and two of their young co-stars. Tomorrowland opens May 22, 2015.
