D’Angelo is just about to cheer up thousands of his fans! The R&B superstar is said to release his first new material since 14 years ago.
Russell Elevado, the star’s long-term producer, shared three brief clips of D’Angelo on his Twitter account on Tuesday.
Two tracks called Sugah Daddy and The Charade were featured with a YouTube video footage, each lasting just a couple of seconds. They were shot in LA’s Henson Recording Studio.
In addition to the clip on Twitter, Elevado wrote, “D’Angelo studio teaser #1. These are real teasers…sorry but I’m only allowed to show a few seconds of video.”
In 2012, D’Angelo returned to the spotlight with a series of live shows after a long period of hibernating when his last album, Voodoo, was released in 2000.
More so, in 2010, producer Mark Ronson claimed that he’s “working non-stop” with a star and that they are close to hit the charts, but that material still hasn’t reached the surface.
In March 2013, D’Angelo performed a rare live show in New York, but he was soon forced to stop as he was admitted to the hospital.
So, if the rumors are true, we’re glad he’s back!
