A representative for actor George Clooney has fuelled rumors stating the bachelor is now engaged to new girlfriend, Amal Alamuddin, but only through neither denying or confirming whether the star is ready to give up his single life.
The 52-year old star has been romantically involved with British lawyer Alamuddin since October 2013, months after he split from his ex-partner Stacy Keibler, when they were spotted enjoying a dinner in London.
The star has yet to confirm or deny the rumors, by she attended a White House screening of his The Monuments Men in February 2014. Then they jetted to Tanzania together for a safari holiday in March.
Reports suggest he is now ready to settle down as his girlfriend was spotted wearing a huge engagement ring on her left ring finger while they were seemingly celebrating the happy news with their friends in Los Angeles hotspot Graig’s on Wednesday, April 23. The ring was seen once again on Thursday, April 23, when the couple was spotted at Malibu restaurant Nobu, having a double date with the star’s best friend Rande Gerber and his wife, former supermodel Cindy Crawford, according to People.com.
A source said, “George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren’t really trying to hide this, it doesn’t seem. I think it’s like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever.”
Clooney’s representative has failed to stop the rumors. He simply said, “I don’t comment on my client’s personal life.”
If the rumors are true, this will be the star’s second marriage. He was previously married to Talia Balsam, until 1993. His other romances include British model Lisa Snowdon, Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis and ex-wrestler Keibler, who married businessman Jared Pobre in Mexico in March. Kiebler is now pregnant with their first child.
