Caitlyn Jenner Wants To Find Her Place Within The LGBT Community

In the latest episode of I Am Cait, Caitlyn Jenner learned the significance of the words ‘we’ and ‘them,’ discovering that using the latter can open a huge gap between herself and the rest of the LGBT community.
The episode began at Trans Pride, where several trans men and women talked about Caitlyn and her role within the trans community. As it turned out, most of them cannot relate to her experience, seeing as she is a world-famous athlete who has had the privilege of undergoing numerous cosmetic surgeries and starring in a reality show that is supposed to introduce her new self to the world.
In order to bridge the distance, Caitlyn’s friend Candis Cayne invited her to attend the New York’s Gay Pride celebration. Apart from showing up at the pride, Cait visits GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellin and is once again reminded that she is now part of the LGBT community and that she has to learn how to embrace the word ‘we.’
