If you are not familiar with Caitlyn Jenner‘s political preference, then this will not seem like news to you. And why would it? It’s just another celebrity taking a photo with Hillary Clinton, the Democratic party candidate for the nomination in the upcoming presidential election. Well, believe it or not, this is a huge thing.
This is a huge thing for a very simple reason – Caitlyn has always been a Republican. She has been unequivocal about her support for the GOP and its two most successful candidates so far, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. She even offered her services as a trans ambassador to Ted Cruz. The news that she is posing with Hillary Clinton is like finding out George Clooney or Ben Affleck posed for a buddy-buddy photo with Trump.
It seems her girlfriends talked her into this, at least judging by the hashtags she used – #learningfrommygirls and #willingtolisten. There will really come a day when Clint Eastwood will remain the only celebrity supporting the Republicans, sitting alone in a dimly lit room, sighing loudly and clutching a stuffed elephant.
