Beyoncé shared the first teaser for the highly anticipated movie 50 Shades Of Grey on Saturday night, which left many wondering about her involvement in the movie’s soundtrack. The first official trailer will be revealed this Thursday.
She took to her Instagram.com page to share a short video in which Christian Grey, portrayed by Jamie Dornan, can be seen groping Anastasia Steele’s thigh (she is portrayed by Dakota Johnson) and unlocking the door to the red room of pain. Pop icon Beyoncé confused her fans with a slowed down adaptation of her hit song ‘Crazy in Love’ playing in the background of the teaser, together with some breathy vocals.
Her vocals could also be heard when Universal unveiled the first footage at CinemaCon back in March 2014 to industry insiders.
During one scene with Christian’s collection of S&M toys, her album track ‘Haunted’, from her self-titled release at the end of 2013, could be heard in the background.
If Beyonce is working on some hot tracks for ‘Fifty Shades’, she’s not the only big name involved with the soundtrack. Rita Ora has already confirmed that alongside her tiny role as Christian’s sister Mia, she’s also recorded new material for the soundtrack.
In fact, Rita only landed the role after impressing Sam Taylor Johnson at a meeting about the soundtrack.
“There is such a different vision for the movie to my own music, so there is a specific kind of vision for that soundtrack,” Rita told Metro of the project earlier this year.
