Actor Ben Affleck has hired Matt Damon’s cousin who will help him get in shape for the Batman’s role in the Man of Steel upcoming sequel.
The famous actor has also recruited a group of professional fitness instructors from Boston, Massachusetts, his home town, to help him get ready for Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. One of them is actually Matt Damon’s relative, Jamie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, all of them have one thing in common; they are all from the Institute of Performance Fitness in North Reading, Massachusetts.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an upcoming American superhero movie based on the DC Comics famous characters Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.
Dune Entertainment will produce the movie and it will be distributed by Warner Bros.
The film is the sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel and the second instalment in the DC Cinematic Universe.
The movie will be directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer, which stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter.
This is Ben’s second cast as a comic book superhero; the first was Daredevil in the 2003 namesake film.
Josh Brolin had been in discussions for the role prior to Ben’s casting.
Director Zack Snyder said on the casting, “Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne.”
Affleck was initially reluctant to accept the part, stating, “I felt I didn’t fit the traditional mold. But once Zack showed me the concept, and that it would be both different from the great movies that Chris[topher Nolan] and Christian [Bale] made, but still in keeping with tradition, I was excited.”
