6. Calvin Klein and Nick Gruber

Calvin Klein is one of the most renowned fashion designers of all times and the founder of the company Calvin Klein Inc.

He has been married two times. In 1965, Klein married Jayne Centre Klein and the couple have a daughter, Marci. They divorced in 1974.
His second wife was Kelly Rector, a Fashion institute graduate who worked for him when they met. The pair divorced in 2006.

However, the first time the famous designer went public with a boyfriend was during his relationship with Nick Gruber. The couple started seeing each other in 2010.

Klein and Gruber broke up after Gruber was busted for cocaine possession and assault. After he spent some time in a rehabilitation facility, the young Gruber found another boyfriend and stated he would write a book about his experience with Calvin Klein.

Gruber seemed to have changed his mind since he denied such a book would ever come into existence.

“That was false information. I never said that I was gonna write a book. I never would do something like that or hurt someone that I love.”

Despite Gruber’s statement, The New York Post got hold of a book proposal, titled ‘’Obsession: My Life with Calvin Klein.’’

Gruber’s PR responded: “A previous advisor, whom [Gruber] no longer speaks with, wrote up a proposal without [Gruber’s] permission or consent and circulated it. Those weren’t his words.”

The proposal stated that Gruber was an escort, which Gruber himself denied on various occasions.

“Later of course I found out that this is a typical, cliché come-on line to get you into the escort business,” the proposal says. Gruber had no interest in having sex with men, but he soon learned he was every gay man’s fantasy, which he would parlay into his alter ego — and some nice pocket change.’’

According to the proposal, a porn producer promised to find him a ‘sugar daddy’ and that was how Gruber met Klein.

“I later found out that this was a big deal for Calvin. He had never introduced a guy to any of his friends before,” the proposal says. “Right from the very start Calvin was treating me as if I were his boyfriend. He was happy to show me off in public and I felt like a boyfriend too. It was a new feeling for me! I knew my life was about to change forever.”
