“All About That Bass” Singer Confused About Feminism

Meghan Trainor is not exactly a household name yet, but she does have a big single on the radio right now.
It’s called “All About That Bass,” a song with a 50s doowop throwback sound that praises ladies with big bottoms. It is like a version of Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” for the 40 and up crowd.
But before you start to praise her for her progressive thinking and feminist stances, you should check out an interview that she recently did in which she said that she is not a feminist.
But the fact that she said that is not really the issue, the issue is that it becomes quite apparent during the course of the interview that it seems that she has no idea what a feminist actually is.
The interview came out in Billboard Magazine, and even though she’s preaching feminist philosophy, she keeps stating that she is not a feminist. Maybe she thinks feminism is a bad thing, or perhaps she just has no idea what it is at all.
