AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson said rumors about the band’s split are untrue and also insisted they plan to hit the studio in May to record new songs. This week, April 13 the band made headlines with reports stating they were planning to retire due to bad health conditions of one of their members.
Now Brian has spoken out to make it clear the band is still planning to record new sessions in Canada in May 2014. He did, however, mention that one of them is suffering from a “debilitating illness”.
He told Telegraph.co.uk, “We are definitely getting together in May in Vancouver. We’re going to pick up some guitars, have a plonk, and see if anybody has got any tunes or ideas. If anything happens, we’ll record it.”
He said more about their future, “I wouldn’t like to say anything either way about the future. I’m not ruling anything out. One of the boys has a debilitating illness, but I don’t want to say too much about it. He is very proud and private, a wonderful chap. We’ve been pals for 35 years and I look up to him very much.”

He also said the band has planned an ambitious tour to celebrate their 40th anniversary in music, but said he has no idea whether it is still on, “That would be a wonderful way to say bye bye. We would love to do it. But it’s all up in the air at the moment.”
