A Must See: Jason Momoa’s Game Of Thrones Audition Tape

If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, Jason Momoa’s audition tape is something you definitely need to see.
The handsome actor gave a marvelous performance as Dothraki leader Khal Drogo in the first season of HBO’s popular series Game of Thrones and many were saddened when he left the show.
Now, you have the opportunity to watch him auditioning for the role and performing a haka, a traditional dance done by the Maori people of New Zealand. Although Momoa was born in Hawaii, he told New Zealand’s Stuff that he feels a deep connection with the Maori.
We come from the same (Polynesian) culture. When I found out more about the Maori culture, I fell in love with it and with the people, too. It’s very, very powerful, and I wanted to capture that. I just thought it was apt for the role because it’s beautiful and scary.
