Lil Wayne Retiring After New Solo Album

Rapper Lil Wayne left millions of fans jaw-dropped after he revealed his upcoming 11th solo album will be his last.
The rapper has already speculated about retiring, but officially confirmed he’s ending his solo career with an upcoming record Tha Carter V.
Lil told MTV, “I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it’s definitely the final Carter album. It’s the final Carter album. It’s stopping at five.”
The new album, which is the fifth installment of his Carter series, is scheduled to hit the charts in May.
However, not all hopes are gone. The rapper revealed a big payday might motivate him to hit the recording studio again in the future, adding, “Twenty five to 35 million dollars would get me to do another solo album after this.”
“I know I’ll be able to retire at 35, because I am so ready to retire now.” Wayne told TV host Katie Couric last year.
However, the rapper will focus on his own label called “Cash Money Records” as well as occasional guest appearances on other artist’s tracks.
