Audrina Patridge, star of the reality TV show The Hills, shocked thousands of fans when she revealed one of Hollywood’s secrets. Namely, the fights on the show never actually happened. They were staged.
“In the beginning, a lot of it was real. As it went on, it was very manipulated and guided,” she told E! News.
The recent revelation shows that fights on the show were exaggerated, and not nearly as dramatic as the audience was led to believe. The real-life drama ran from 2006 to 2010, and included several celebrities such as Heidi Montag, Lauren Conrad, Spencer Pratt, Brody Jenner and Whitney Port.
Interestingly, Audrina revealed that her co-star Kristin Cavallari and her were locked in a room by producers and were refused to leave until they started to fight. Well we’re no experts, but if that’s true, they might have reasonable ground for a lawsuit.
Patridge said, “We were there for about three hours and they were like, ‘You can’t leave until you and Kristin get into a fight!’ We did it and we got to leave.”
It’s always nice to see reasonable and rational methods of directing.
