Fans Petition Disney To Make Frozen Princess Elsa A Lesbian

A Frozen fan started a Twitter petition yesterday, calling on Disney to give the world what it needs – a lesbian princess!
According to Twitter user Alexis Isabel Moncada, it would be perfect if Frozen’s Elsa came out as a lesbian. She tweeted that it would be a very iconic movie. She then directed another tweet directly at Disney and added the hashtag #GiveElseAGirlfriend, a tweet which was retweeted thousands of times over the course of the night.
Needless to say, the movement went viral and everyone has been talking about it ever since Moncada proposed the idea.
Moncada’s reasoning? Well, if Disney princesses can fall in love with ogres and beasts, why not with other women? She makes a good point.
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. The Frozen sequel, which is currently in production, is expected to be released sometime before 2018.
