Iman Reveals The Secret To Her 24-Year Marriage With Late Rock Star David Bowie

Famous Somali supermodel Iman and British musician David Bowie tied the knot in 1992. They had their first and only child together Alexandria Zahra Jones in 2000. Unfortunately, Bowie died in January, making Iman a widow after 24 wonderful years.
Though she has not made any public appearances since her husband’s death, an interview that was taped before the rock star passed away for Oprah: Where Are They Now? has recently emerged. In the interview, the 60-year-old former model talked about their relationship, saying that she never gives him fashion advice because ‘he is fashion.’
Then, she added that she knows that he’s a legend but that they both ‘understand the difference between the person and the persona.’ Iman said that their focus was on the person, stressing that they are just Iman and David when they are together, not one of the most famous celebrity couples in history.
When she was asked about the secret to their long-lasting marriage, Iman said that it was timing, explaining that they both wanted a strong relationship when they met. More importantly, they were both ready to commit to each other.
