Alan Rickman Dies Of Cancer At 69

It’s a tragic day for British film and theatre. The legendary Alan Rickman, known for classics such as Die Hard, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and, of course, Harry Potter, has passed away today at the age of 69, according to his family.
They revealed in a statement that Rickman had been suffering from cancer for some time now. Alan was one of Britain’s best-loved acting stars thanks to his legendary roles such as Hans Gruber and Professor Snape.
Tributes for the late actor have been coming in from figures like J.K. Rowling and Ang Lee, who personally called him “a great human being” and a “brilliant and soulful actor.” A great talent has been lost, but the legacy he left behind lives on. Rest in peace, Alan.
