Jim Carrey’s Ex Was Married When She Died

It appears that Cathriona White, the on-and-off girlfriend of famous Hollywood actor Jim Carrey, was married to another man at the time of her death, which is suspected to have been a suicide. White’s body will soon be released to her husband for repatriation to Ireland.
Here’s what the L.A. County Medical Examiner said:
She had a husband, we have a husband as next of kin. We’re not releasing any more information on next of kin, but we do have her as married.
The news was confirmed by a source close to Carrey who claimed that White was married but separated from her husband. She was planning on filing for divorce sometime in December. This raises questions about why Carrey would date a married girl, but as far as he was concerned, she was separated from her husband and was planning to divorce him, so he didn’t mind it much.
The identity of White’s husband remains unclear, as well as the length and nature of their marriage. It is also unknown when they separated. In the wake of her death, Carrey met with members of her family, who came from Ireland.
The Medical Examiner concluded the autopsy on White yesterday, and the results of a toxicological exam were sent off for analysis. The results are to arrive back in between 8 and 12 weeks.
