Here’s How Kanye Made Kim Less Trashy

Kim Kardashian has come a long way – from a sex-tape-making semi-famous friend of a more famous celebrity girl to the star of the most watched reality show and wife of one of the greatest musicians of the day. In the 10-odd years, we have seen her looks change in more ways than just because of the years that passed, but that is not our concern today. Our concern is her sense of style and how it took a dramatic turn for the better since she started dating Kanye.

Pre-Kanye Kim Version 1.0

The first example of her “sense” of style pre-Kanye dates back to 2006 when she was doing everything in her power to become just a tad more popular. She is wearing an outfit that just doesn’t cut it, no matter how you look at it. The sleeves look too long, the purse looks like a $10 monstrosity you pick up when you go shopping for frozen food and there is also a bit of bra peeking out. You know, for class.

Pre-Kanye Kim Version 2.0

This particular outfit is from 2008 when Kim attended a birthday party of some kind. The colors are okay, sort of, but the outfit just screams “I’m middle-aged”. No, really. Kim looks like your 50-year old aunt who got all spruced up for a “wild” night out. It’s bad.

Pre-Kanye Kim Version 3.0

This outfit, worn by Kim in 2011 at the Kardashian Kollection Launch Party no less, is a total train wreck. It’s just leopard print on leopard print on leopard print as far as the eye can see. She looks like she is going to the fanciest lowrider competition of the year. For someone who has her own clothes collection and for someone who rubs elbows with designers, this is just too bad.

Post-Kanye Kim Version 1.0

This is Kim at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2014 and it is obvious that her style game has improved. She is still doing the whole revealing thing, with her cleavage on display big time, but it is classy. The toned-down prints and the red-white-black combination give the whole outfit an air of elegance. The shoes are also elegant but sexy, tying the whole outfit together. Kudos.

Post-Kanye Kim Version 2.0

When you attend an event associated with Elton John, you need to bring class and in 2013, Kim did just that. It was the Elton John Aids Foundation Oscars party and Kim was mighty pregnant at the time. Still, this didn’t prevent her from being all kinds of classy. She wore this super-elegant white gown with only a delicious bracelet and some fur to top it all off.

Post-Kanye Kim Version 2.0

In 2014, Kim wore this spectacular deep-blue gown to the LACMA Art+Film Gala and she looked positively radiant. The gown was rich and luscious; revealing but not revealing too much. She wore only a collar necklace and she had her hair slicked back. It was pure elegance. Who knew she had it in her?

And there you have it. We understand that this might be a coincidence that Kim started showing more sense of style since she hooked up with Kanye, but we still believe that he might be the reason why Kim is showing far more class these days.
