A woman by the name of Judy Huth filed a civil lawsuit against Bill Cosby, claiming that he sexually molested her when she was 15 years old, back in 1974. Some ten days after she first spoke to the LAPD about these allegations, the charge has been declined due to the statute of limitations, which in this case would be three years.
Cosby’s lawyers immediately denied Huth’s allegations, saying that before actually going to the police, she tried to extort $250,000 from Cosby and threatened to go to the tabloids.
Before the prosecutors dropped the charge, Huth had a long talk with the Los Angeles police, leading some to believe that the real reason for dropping the charge was a problem with her claims and allegations, and not some legal matter.
Even though more than 15 women have accused Cosby of sexual abuse and/or drugging, Huth is actually one of only two women who actually tried to sue him.
