Stephen Collins’ Molestation Victim Won’t Sue?

According to sources, the main victim that actor Stephen Collins admitted to molesting in the 1970s is not going to press charges. The 7th Heaven actor confessed on tape that he abused the woman repeatedly, who was a young girl at the time, and that he even made her touch his penis once.
However, the woman, who is now in her 50s, said that she is not going to sue the actor. She said that she came out about the abuse in an effort to encourage other victims to come out, especially those who might have been abused by Collins more recently.
The three agencies that are currently investigating the abuse charges claim that they are not going to be able to prosecute the actor, since the cases are too old. It seems that if no new victims come out claiming that Collins molested them more recently, he might actually be able to remain free.
