Misty Upham, known for Oscar-nominated August: Osage County and Django Unchained, had been missing for 10 days.
Police searching for actress have found her body, instead. According to reports, a purse containing identifying items was found alongside the body in a ravine near the White River, close to Seattle, on Thursday afternoon.
Her father, Charles Upham, confirmed his daughter’s identity to police. Police Commander Steve Stocker said there was presently no evidence or information “to believe there is foul play.”
Soon after her disappearance, Charles Upham told radio station KIRO-FM that his daughter had stopped taking medication for anxiety and bipolar disorder, but he did not believe she was suicidal.
Police had responded to a suicide call at her residence in the days before her disappearance. The cause of death is not known yet.
