Actor David Arquette has become a father for the second time. His girlfriend Christina McLarty gave birth on Monday, April 28, to a baby boy named Charlie West.
The actor’s representative told People.com, “Mom, dad and baby are doing well. They appreciate all of your well wishes and thank you for respecting their privacy at this time.”
Little Charlie West is the first child for McLarty and the second for Arquette. He already has a nine-year-old daughter, Coco, from his marriage to Courteney Cox.
The 42-year old actor, and McLarty, 33-year old, met in 2011 and have been an on-and-off couple, at least in part because he’s based in L.A. while she operates out of New York. In November 2013, they announced they were expecting.
McLarty, who was previously married to Joe Francis, has been a correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight.”
We are sorry we can’t present anything from the happy father as the actor quit the social-media site Twitter last June 2013 and hasn’t come back.
“I shut down my Twitter because people are just cruel,” he told Katie Couric in 2013. “They’re just mean on social media, and that all stems from people being mean to them, when they were younger. … I feel like we just need to be kinder to people, and I try to.”
