Troubled star Lindsey Lohan is defending her mother, Dina, insisting she has never been a ‘party girl’.
While the young actress was battling her own battles with alcohol and substance abuse, many blamed her mother and her bad habit to be a bad influence on Lindsey.
Lohan defended her mother’s honor during an interview on U.S. talk show Watch What Happens Live, which aired on Thursday, April 17. Dina was booked for DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) while also speeding in September, 2013.
She said, “My mum doesn’t drink. That’s (Dina’s hardcore partying) never been true. It’s really interesting how people perceive it and what gets told, because if anything, she’s gone out with me because I’ve forced her to come out with me.”
“It’s just a security blanket. the trust in there. I have a cool mom. And she had me at a very young age. Thank God for that though because she’s my best friend.”
Lindsey also revealed she had become close again with her estranged father, Michael Lohan and revealed the story behind their relationship on her reality series on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. However, most of the material was cut out.
She said, “I love my dad – but my dad is my dad… He was on the outs. He’s gone through a lot in his life. Insider trading...”

“There’s a lot of things that have happened in my life that they don’t show. I was a lot more honest on the show, like about my entire life story.”
In the series finale which will air on Sunday, April 20, Lindsey will also talk about not having regrets for revealing so much of her life.
She said, “I don’t regret it at all. Oprah’s literally been a blessing to me as a friend, a mentor and I can actually say I can call Oprah whenever I need to. It’s been nice to just show who I am as a person. So that people can actually see the chaos that comes in and comes out.”
